The multicultural marketplace is very diverse. It is comprised not just of the three or four groups that you would think about — Latino, Hispanic, African-American — but, of course, LGBTQ is included in that as well.

DE&I is a journey, not a sprint. We look at representation, fair and just practices and policies in the workplace, and transformational opportunities for success, making sure everyone who is invited into the organization has an opportunity to contribute at the highest level.

I’m experiencing meaningful interpersonal growth. Even with my own diversity and individuality, I’m realizing there are still layers to explore when it comes to inclusivity. The Inclusive Leadership Cohort Program has opened my eyes to the richness of others’ experiences and backgrounds, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from them. I’ve learned that even when people share the same race or ethnicity, it doesn’t mean they share the same lens, story, or lived experiences.

I joined the Inclusive Leadership Cohort Program after seeing the impact it had on many of my colleagues and through our strong partnership with Dr. Hendricks. When I learned a spot had opened up, I knew I wanted to be part of this experience. I was excited to build new and diverse connections and to learn from others who do similar work in different organizations. Listening to others and absorbing their insights has been incredibly valuable. I’ve gained tools and perspectives that I can bring into our company’s strategic planning, and I’ve learned so much about myself as a leader. This experience has truly expanded both my self-awareness and my leadership practice.
